Detroit Zoo Wedding | Michigan wedding Photographers

Nicole and Devon are two of the sweetest most thoughtful people I know. I remember the first time I met them and saw them together I knew they were meant to be together. As we got closer to their wedding I had the pleasure of photographing them for their engagment session, while photographing them Devon said something to me that really stuck out. He said “a photographer should do two things, They should make you feel comfertable and create stunning images, and you’ve done both!”.

Nicole had planned the perfect day. A first look at their stunning venue (The Reserve in Birmingham Michigan) with photos around downtown. As their day approached we were forecasted some pretty nasty weather. The radar was showing strong storms durning the time we had blocked for photos. I reached out to Nicole to discuss back up plans only to find out we didn’t have a solid backup in place.

The night before her wedding my amazing assistant and I jumped in the car to check out locations Downtown that might work for a first look. With no luck Nicole called her brothers work to see if she could pull some strings. The fates smiled upon us and we were granted access to photograph their wedding party at the Detroit Zoo! Another key player in the wedding day (and of course in the lives of Nicole and Devon) made an appearance. Their puppy showed up for the first look. I love pittys so much but this one took the cake, look at him posing with their wedding rings.

After saying their I do’s they joined their guests for a night filled with love and laughter. They danced the night away at their candle lit reception surrounded by their closest friends and family <3
