A Beautiful Ford Piquette Plant Wedding | Magally and Keith’s Detroit Wedding
Somehow, Magally and Keith managed to take almost all of my favorite things and add them to their perfect Detroit Wedding. Good friends, check! A stunning bride, check! A sweet, good looking groom, check! CATS, check! An amazing Detroit wedding venue, check! Seriously though this wedding made my heart so happy.
Magally and Keith spent their wedding morning at the Renaissance center Marriott Hotel with their closest friends. Check out how much fun these ladies had before the I do’s! Let’s not forget the guys, and the look on Keith’s face when he opened Magally’s gift to him, Priceless!
I got all the feels as I dug into Magally’s details. Umm, check out that Katie May gown, those Badgley Mischka shoes and that Lulu Splendor hair comb. There was some serious style in those details!
I didn’t think I could love this couple any more until I saw the card Keith got for Magally. Two words, LASER CATS! I’m not sure how Magally and I managed to not share our love of cats over our many pre wedding conversations but we quickly shared that bond when I saw this. Keith didn’t stop at the laser cat card, he also added a photo of their cat to the card. So many heart eye emojis for that one Keith!
Magally took my wedding day timeline advice and did all the first looks. Check out the reaction her girls had the first time they saw her in completed wedding attire. Then grab your tissues for the first look with Magally and her dad. My goodness, I was teary eyed.
Once I pulled myself together from the emotions of the father and bride first look I was in awe of the amazing decor at the Piquette Plant. Violet Rose Floral out did themselves with this one. From the center pieces to the industrial copper pipe ceremony arch, these details are fab! Let’s not forget to give props to Holiday Market for that delicious cake. Note that cute custom cake topper!
Their ceremony was performed by a long time collage friend. She shared stories of how Magally and Keith met, their long history dating and the day that Keith finally popped the question. 12 years, yes 12 years later! Both the mother of the bride and the mother of groom shared readings durning the ceremony. Rather then light a unity candle, or complete a sand ceremony Magally and Keith did a tree watering ceremony. This tree will later be planted so they can watch it grow as they grow their lives together.
Since Magally and Keith we’re traditional in the sense of not seeing each other before the ceremony they opted to have an extended cocktail hour. This gave us the time we needed to explore some great spots in the city. First stop was was the DIA where Magally and Keith pulled off some classic, romantic photos. From there we headed to the more city chic Z lot and the Belt. We had a blast putting the bridal party against contrast of the street art, Walking the happy couple around the downtown streets and capturing the essence of Detroit rooftops.
I didn’t think this wedding could get better but it did! We enjoyed soft lit, romantic dancing and one stunning back it session (scroll to the end!).
